Roxana Zuniga, PhD

Postdoctoral Fellow

Roxana holds a PhD in Veterinary Sciences with a specialization in Biotechnology from the University of Concepción, Chile. During her PhD, she focused on developing a recombinant subunit vaccine against Mycobacterium bovis. Her research encompasses the development of biopharmaceuticals and diagnostic tools for human and animal applications, primarily targeting infectious diseases. She has extensive experience in recombinant DNA platforms for the production of recombinant proteins.

Currently, she is a postdoctoral fellow in the Subramaniam Laboratory, where she is involved in the PROGENTTER initiative and other projects focused on the development and characterization of protein-based therapeutics.

In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family (Astro, Agnes, and Rodrigo), watching series, and practicing yoga.
